Bernie Condlin is the Lead Public Defender of Cumberland County, North Carolina, the home of Fayetteville. The city of Fayetteville is currently the epicenter of the NC George Floyd protests, in large part due to him being from nearby Raeford. Condlin, despite his position, within the county, shared a GIF on Facebook of protesters being sprayed by firehoses, saying this is what he wants to see the next time riots take place at Market House, leading to former county public defender, Tami Marano, adding that she hopes protesters are sprayed with Coronavirus, though she later apologized.
