G-Salih has gained attention from his freestyle skills and popularity from his contributions to international Sudanese rap collective The Circle, now the Virginia-based Sudanese-American rapper returns with a new single “Daydreaming” featuring KP via Moyne Music.

Penning his signature style of conscious lyrics overtop of nostalgia-inducing electric guitar parts and tastefully minimalistic drums, G-Salih continues to display the time and effort he’s put into his craft with the consistent quality in his music, “Daydreaming” being no exception. The uniquely animated video features G-SALIH in his homeland of Sudan accompanied with smooth vocals by R&B singer KP which blends Hip-Hop and R&B. Flowing back and forth between Salih’s heartfelt rap verses reminiscing about a past love, their soulful lyrics move slowly through the emotional sky as the rapper admits he’s stuck “Daydreaming” about better times with his former lover.
“Day Dreaming is about that person you wanted to talk to but never could get yourself to approach; that special person who meant a lot to your life and helped you discover more about yourself; that certain pull that you feel towards someone that forces you to just feel the moment you’re in. I wrote this record in 2018, reminiscing over past relationships and the feeling of allowing yourself to feel someone else. It also served as a reminder to myself to stop overthinking what’s happened or what will, and just enjoy the moments I’m in before they’re gone.”- G-Salih
