Zazie Beetz Expresses Excitement in Rejoining Cast For “Atlanta” Season 3, Which is Reportedly Airing in Early 2022 – “They’ve Really Become Family”

It’s been over two and a half years now, since season 2 of “Atlanta,” on FX, concluded. The season-ending episode featured Paper Boi (played by Brian Tyree-Henry) boarding his flight, for his European Tour. His manager, Earn (played by Donald Glover), and their friend, Darius (played by Lakeith Stanfield), also joined him.

Zazie Beetz is also a popular character on Atlanta, as she plays the role of Vanessa, Earn’s baby mama, and ex-girlfriend. Season 3 is reportedly finally set to air in early 2022. Beetz recently spoke with Vulture, about getting back with the cast, and shooting seasons three and four. For her, the bond between all of them is family-like.

“Oh, it felt so good. I was so happy to be on set,” Beetz told Vulture in a new interview. “I just really feel like these people — Donald [Glover]; [Lakeith Stanfield]; Brian [Tyree Henry]; Hiro [Murai], our director; Christian [Sprenger], our DP —they’ve really become family. And I mean that in the sense that this show changed all of our lives completely, including Donald’s. And there is a sort of sacred bond that happens with people who collectively go through an experience that shifts your whole life trajectory. So being with them will always feel like a homecoming.”

Beetz also confirmed that seasons three and four have been shot. The fourth season is still being finalized, though.
