Yung Mal and Five Others, Charged With Murder, in Connection To a Shooting at an Atlanta-Area Gas Station

Yung Mal has been making noise in Atlanta for a few years now as an artist, but now, things appear to be crashing down, legally. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, he and five other men have charged with murder, in connection to a shooting in Decatur, GA.

These men were all arrested and charged on Saturday night, at a Chevron gas station on 2450 Candler Rd, at 9PM. The victim was identified as a man in his mid-40s. What caused the shooting is said to have been an argument between the victim and the men charged. The suspects listed are De’Vonti King, 19; Thavian Ford, 46; Bryan Jones, 26; Deavin Baker, 31; Darreun Dodson, 20; and Khamal Braud, 25.

Mal also has more charges on the table, which are violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act and aggravated assault. He and the other men are still being held at DeKalb County Jail. Mal originally performed at Echo Stage Soul Kitchen and Lounge in Mississippi, earlier in the night.

This year, Mal, put out his “1.5 Or No Way” mixtape, which included collabs with Pooh Shiesty, G Herbo, BIG30, and more. He is signed to Alamo Records, after previously being on Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records.
