Yukmouth talks George Zimmerman and the new era of hip hop with Marciano [VIDEO]

Hip Hop Vibe is honoring Oakland for their contributions to the hip hop community, as a whole. Oakland is full of legends and, somewhere in that conversation, Yukmouth has to be mentioned. Yukmouth has put out eight of his own albums and countless collaborative albums.

Professionally, Yukmouth has been doing his thing since 1994 and he is well-respected within Oakland. Signed to Yukmouth’s label are his group, Luniz, Dru Down, and his Thug Lordz group with Tha Outlawz’ C-Bo. Even with so much history in the game, Yukmouth remains a major figure in the industry.

This summer, the biggest social topic has been George Zimmerman getting off for murdering Trayvon Martin. Most rappers have expressed shock and outrage over the situation. Yukmouth spoke on the situation when he talked to Marciano and he also talked about hip hop’s new era, praising J. Cole.
