On Friday, Young Thug delivered his sophomore album, “Punk.” This project was initially supposed to be out at midnight, but the Atlanta rapper went on to push it back to 3AM.
Punk ended up treating fans to 20 songs, with star-studded features from Drake, Travis Scott, J. Cole, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, and more. Currently, Punk is projected to debut in the top three, of the Billboard 200 chart.
Punk is doing big numbers on streaming outlets now as well. As of now, it holds the number spot, on Apple Music’s too Hip-Hop/Rap Albums chart. Mac Miller’s re-released “Faces” is at number two, and Nas’ “King’s Disease 2,” is at the third spot.
Thug also released another album this past summer, with “Slime Language 2.” He put this project out with Gunna, and the rest of his YSL record label. That was Thug’s second straight number one album, and Punk could potentially make it his third.
