Young Thug’s “Punk,” is Now His Second Number One Album, of 2021

Last week, Young Thug released his sophomore album, “Punk.” This project contained 20 tracks, with huge features from Drake, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Mac Miller, XXXTentacion, Doja Cat, Gunna, A$AP Rocky, and more. Over the past week, it has been in a numbers battle, with Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy,” for the number one album, in the US.

Punk has now officially taken over CLB, as the number one album, in the US. According to Chart Data, it is debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, with 90,000 units sold, in its first week. Punk marks Thug’s second number one album of the year, as in the summer, he and his YSL label topped the 200, with their “Slime Language 2” album.

Drake’s CLB is expected to drop to the number two spot. This comes a week after CLB got back to number one, for the fourth week, in total. It is the only rap album of the year, to hold these amount of top positions.
