Last week, Young Thug released his sophomore album, “Punk.” This project contained 20 tracks, with huge collabs with J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Drake, and more. At the time of its release, Punk was expected to debut somewhere in the top  three, of the Billboard 200 chart.

Thug has been getting plenty of love for Punk, and now, it’s on its way to becoming the number one album in the US. According to Chart Data, it is expected to debut at number one, on the Billboard 200, with 82,000 units sold. Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” will drop to number two, after it had returned to number one, for the fourth time, last week.

Punk was initially announced three months ago, during Thug’s NPR Tiny Desk performance. Last weekend, the YSL rapper also performed on “Saturday Night Live,” with his YSL artist, Gunna, and Travis Barker also joined in.

If Punk does debut at number one, it’ll be Thug’s second number album, of 2021. He and his YSL record label’s “Slime Language 2,” did the same, this summer.
