On Monday night, hip-hop was hit with a major surprise. This was that Young Thug and Gunna were included in a 56-count indictment, in Atlanta. This indictment spanned 88 pages. This was on charges of conspiring to violate the RICO Act, murder, armed robbery, participation in criminal street gang activity, from 2013-2022. Thug and his associates also allegedly plan to murder YFN Lucci, at the jail in Atlanta that he is still being held at, for a 2020 murder case.

26 other individuals included in the indictment, were part of Young Thug’s YSL street gang. YSL is also the name of Thug’s record label, which Gunna is signed to. Thug’s home was initially raided in the Buckhead area of Atlanta on Monday, and is in custody. His first court hearing is set to take place on Tuesday, at 11:30AM.

WSB-TV’s Mark Winne spoke with Thug’s defense attorney, Brian Steel, after this news was handed down. He firmly claims that the Atlanta rapper is innocent, and that no crimes were committed, at all.

“I’ll tell you the response to any allegation; Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him.”
