Misogynistic behavior in hip hop is nothing new, in fact it was the core of Nas’ infamous “Ether” diss track. But, time went on, Nas and Jay Z became friends, and the lyrics never changed. A new crop of artists took over rap and the behavior continued.
Young Thug has risen to be among the top rappers in the game, in terms of popularity. His vast fan base has crowned him the leader of the new school, ahead of the likes of J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. But, fans are not feeling his actions from tonight.
While stuck at the airport, Young Thug got very disrespectful and began taunting two black women working there. The women didn’t appreciate being on camera, and Young Thug began insulting them, calling them ants, among other racial remarks. Fans didn’t like how Young Thug was acting and are calling him a “misogynoir.”
