A week ago, Young Stone and his Young Stoner Life Records released the sequel to their “Slime Language” album with Gunna, who is also signed to the label. This album was projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and now, this is becoming official.
According to Chart Data, Slime Language 2 is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling 120,000 units in its first week. 6,000 of these were in pure sales. Streaming numbers were also impressive as it accumulated 142.68 million on-demand streams.
This past Friday, the deluxe edition for Slime Language 2 was also released already. This included eight additional songs with appearances from DaBaby, NAV, Jim Jones, and more. The biggest record from SL2 overall so far has been “Ski” by Thug and Gunna. Ski has been a viral sensation as a dance has already been created and is very popular on TikTok.
Slime Language 2 also went on to be Thug’s first project since August 2019. Back then, Thug released his debut studio album, “So Much Fun.” That debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified platinum in the US.
