When the summer began, the biggest ongoing story was Freddie Gibbs’ departure from the Corporate Thugz Entertainment roster. His joining the label appeared to be the right move, but after two years of stagnation and threats, Freddie Gibbs left. He cited the lack of movement from Young Jeezy as his reasoning for leaving.
Young Jeezy and YG formed an alliance as all of this was going on. It came as a shock to no one when Young Jeezy added YG to CTE. Doughboyz Cashout were also added to the label and Young Jeezy is making sure all of the acts are getting the proper promotion, with YG appearing alongside him on Yo Gotti’s “Act Right.”
Revolt TV recently sat down with Young Jeezy and he briefly spoke with them about his new work. Promoting the new acts on the record label, Young Jeezy dropped a mixtape with them, Boss Yo Life Up Gang. In the interview, Young Jeezy discussed this and much more.
