Expanding well outside of the hip hop culture, Jay-Z is one of the biggest figures in American history. Those who followed Jay-Z’s stories, through his albums, his book, and his interviews, have learned about his supporters. Including former supporters, such as Jaz-O, another person Jay-Z often turned to was Young Guru.

On numerous albums, Jay-Z mentions or refers to Young Guru. Many of the biggest hits from the Brooklyn rapper were brought to life by his musical right hand. The great chemistry, along with their good friendship has brought about undying loyalty. Over the years, Jay-Z has watched a lot of people switch sides on him, but not Young Guru.

Recently, Young Guru was in Atlanta for the A3C Hip Hop Festival 2012. During his time there, Young Guru caught up with Sermon’s Domain. Speaking briefly with SD, Young Guru discussed his work with Jay-Z and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Young Guru would also touch upon a few other topics.
