A centerpiece of the Memphis hip hop explosion is Yo Gotti, who had a breakout year this year. Early in 2013, Yo Gotti signed a $10 million deal with L.A. Reid, entering a partnership with Epic Records. This deal allowed Yo Gotti to release his album, I Am.

After years of being an independent artist and trying to find the right deal, it looks like Yo Gotti finally got what he was looking for. In every interview Yo Gotti has spoken in, he mentioned his deal with L.A. Reid being ideal. Yo Gotti now has plans of releasing projects from his other artists.

Yo Gotti recently made his return to Vlad TV and they discussed his new deal with both L.A. Reid and Epic Records. The deal has shown Yo Gotti go from being an underground star to becoming one of the biggest names in hip hop on a mainstream label. In the interview, Yo Gotti talked about his working relationship with L.A. Reid.
