YNW Melly Reportedly Has Severe Chills, Difficulty of Breathing, Headaches, and Body Aches as He’s Not Being Monitored in Jail Since Being Tested Positive For COVID-19

Last week on Instagram and Twitter, Florida rapper YMW Melly revealed that he tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) while incarcerated in his jail cell in Broward County last week. He has since filed a motion for his release to get treatment and with the condition that he’d be on house arrest.

According to legal documents received by TMZ, Bradford Cohen, who also represents Kodak Black, is helping Melly further in this case. He says that Melly reportedly has “severe chills, heavy labored breathing, headaches and body aches” as he only weighs 114 pounds. In the jail he’s at, Melly is also not receiving proper medical care as a cellmate has COVID-19 too.

Cohen added that inmates here haven’t received masks or cleaning supplies that would be “beneficial regarding his recovery.” The attorney is still working on this motion that could grant Melly’s release. This could have a good chance of happening as last week, Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from a New York prison due to coronavirus concerns and his previous health issues. Melly has been locked up since last year after being charged in a double murder case where he and a friend allegedly killed his two best friends and dumped their bodies in a trunk and rode around with them.
