YNW Melly has been incarcerated for over two years now, after catching a double murder case, where he and his friend allegedly shot and killed two friends, and carried their bodies in the trunk of a car. Melly also dealt with COVID-19 in prison last year.
No release date is still in sight for Melly, but new music is still being pushed. Next week, his sophomore album, “Just a Matter of Slime,” will be out.
Just a Matter of Slime will contain 12 tracks in total, with features from Future, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, and more. This album is led by the single “Thugged Out” feat. Kodak Black.
Melly’s last project came in November 2019, with his debut album, “Melly vs Melvin.” That debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart, and is gold in the US.
