Ying Yang Twins tell untold Jay-Z stories and said Free got fired from “106 & Park” over her verse on “Wait (The Whisper Song),” with B High [VIDEO]

It is easy to forget the impact that Ying Yang Twins had on the game and the run that they enjoyed. The Atlanta duo was the first act to be a part of Mr. Collipark’s label. In 2000, they had a huge mainstream debut, with “Whistle While You Twurk.”

Ying Yang Twins returned, in 2002, with “Say I Yi Yi,” a much bigger hit single. This national recognition led to Lil Jon getting in the mix and them doing “Get Low” together, followed by “Salt Shaker.” By 2005, they had “Wait (The Whisper Song)” dominating the radio.

Their 2002-2006 run saw some classic moments and Ying Yang Twins shared them with B High. The duo discussed Jay-Z not only giving them co-signs, but calling and coming to see them. They also discussed Free, from “106 & Park” doing her “Whisper Song” verse and getting fired by BET, over it.
