The coronavirus pandemic has affected various parts of the United States in different ways as cases continue to grow. Some states are beginning to open back up such as Georgia & South Carolina. In Los Angeles though, YG is giving back to the community in a major way as California is still under a stay-at-home order.

The Compton rapper’s nonprofit organization, 4Hunnid Ways, is sending $10k worth of PPE (personal protective equipment) to families in Emergency Crisis Housing in Central Los Angeles, according to TMZ. Among the items included are gloves, masks, sanitizer detergent, clothes, board games water, diapers, bottles and toys. Over 100 families in the city will be receiving these items.

“Nothing prepares you for a situation like this, rather than sit by and wait for updates on how people in underserved circumstances are going to be assisted, we took the initiative to listen to the needs of families and provide all the necessary items to help them through Quarantine while still practicing social distance,” said YG & his business partner Sheron Barber to TMZ.

Salute to YG & 4Hunnid Ways for making a huge impact like this. Many people have lost their jobs due to businesses temporarily closing due to the outbreak and don’t know how to put foot on the table or get necessary supplies right now. His efforts are helping these families move in the right direction.
