Recent years have seen the Los Angeles hip hop scene return to prominence and YG has become the focal point of this growth. Early this year, YG released My Krazy Life, his long-awaited debut album. The album showcased hit singles, such as “My Hitta,” with Rich Homie Quan and
Young Jeezy and “Who Do You Love?,” with Drake.
YG has become one of the biggest names in hip hop and he recently released a short film/album, Blame It On The Streets. His official sophomore album will drop sometime in early 2015. One thing YG won’t be doing is attending the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, as he wasn’t nominated for anything.
This is what YG discussed with Big Boy for Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Power 106. He was clearly frustrated with the Grammys and he explained his frustrations during their conversation. During the interview, YG said he believes he was snubbed for a nomination because he is from the streets.
