YG no longer facing charges in January 2020 robbery case, in Los Angeles, due to lack of evidence

YG has been facing charges for robbery, in his hometown of Los Angeles, since January 2020. There is now great news for the Compton rapper, though.

According to TMZ, YG is no longer facing any charges in this case. The L.A. District Attorney’s Office recently declined to file charges, due to lack of evidence being presented to them. The D.A’s Office stated that there is:

“Not enough evidence of what defendant did to aid and abet the crime. Presence during the crime alone is not sufficient.”

YG was initially arrested at his home in the early hours of that January morning in LA. At the time, there were warrants filed and heavily armed. The rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, ended up speaking with the D.A., and maintained his client’s innocence in this case. Tacopina also believed that law enforcement had an issue with YG themsleves, and wanted to harass him.

Tacopina also added that he is frustrated with how long this case took to get resolved. He also didn’t rule out taking any legal action against police here.
