Los Angeles returned to the mainstream of hip hop through making music unlike what was already out. This new sound was championed by YG and he is one of the leaders of the “New West,” primarily known out of Los Angeles. Songs that made YG famous are now reinventing Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti, namely “Act Right.”
“Act Right” is one of the biggest anthems of the summer and there are fans simply surprised at how hard the song goes. With Yo Gotti preparing his mainstream debut, this is the best way to introduce himself to a mainstream audience. YG is featured on the song and his appearance comes just in time.
