YFN Lucci’s Trial, For His Murder and Racketeering Case, Will Be Held in May 2022

Back in January, things came crashing quickly for YFN Lucci, as he was arrested for a murder case, regarding the death of 28-year-old James Adams, in December 2020. Adams was said to have been shot, in the head, in Lucci’s car, during a shootout with a rival gang. Reports stated that Lucci tossed Adams out of the car, while in the driver’s seat.

Lucci ended up being charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. 17-year-old Leroy Pitts was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.  23-year-old Ra’von Boyd was also apprehended and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Lucci was also hit with a 75-page, 105-count racketeering indictment. That resulted in the Atlanta rapper being sent back to jail, after posting $500,000 bond, for the murder case.

Now, Lucci finally has a trial date set, for his cases. According to The Shade Room, this will take place on May 12, 2022. His attorney, Drew Findling, has since maintained his stance that Lucci is not a gang member. As of now, Lucci is still incarcerated at the Fulton County Jail.

“He’s not a gang member,” Findling said. “What he is is an internationally recognized musical artist that is a triple platinum winner, that has performed all over the United States and all over the world.”
