Hip hop has changed, but it is “back to the future” in many ways. Many older hip hop fans have asked for veteran returns. Returns from the legends can prove to be beneficial, but the risk is run of the veterans returning unfavorably. Wyclef Jean is among the anticipated veteran returns, but he has made it worthwhile.
Returning to the game, Wyclef Jean has begun working with a select number of newcomers. Among the newcomers Wyclef Jean is working with is Choppa Zoe and DJ Junior. Currently working on his April Showers mixtape, Wyclef has remade many of the biggest current hits.
Wyclef Jean has been on a tear, remaking Ace Hood’s “Bugatti,” Jay-Z’s “Open Letter,” and also Drake’s “Started from the Bottom,” among others. All of this has been in preparation of his upcoming April Showers mixtape. Working with many new artists and producers, Wyclef Jean also has taken in studio sessions with Young Chop and he talked about this during his interview with RapRadar.com.
