Either these people don’t watch basketball, or they forgot who Marco Belinelli is. A few years ago, Marco was one of the many reasons that the Miami Heat lost LeBron James. During the 2014 Finals, Marco was key to the Spurs winning Tim Duncan’s last title.
After that run with the Spurs, Marco Belinelli bounced around the NBA, before landing in Philadelphia. The Sixers had a decent core, building around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. But, drafting Markelle Fultz, and bringing in JJ Redick and Marco Belinelli has made them a major force.
Marco Belinelli made sure the Sixers got what they wanted from him, in tonight’s game. Just when it looked like it fell apart, Twitter was going in on both JJ Redick and Marco Belinelli, as Jayson Tatum made the game-winning shot, but then Marco hit what looked like a 3-pointer, which would’ve won the game. It was a two-pointer, but it still kept Philly alive, so they made Marco their new leader, as Twitter says “Wow Philly.”
