A year ago, BET began promoting “The New Edition Story,” but no one had any idea how big the miniseries would become. The last thing people expected was falling for the actors of the show. Heading into the movie, Yazz was the only big name.
However, the man tasked with playing Bobby Brown, Woody McClain, would steal the show. Following the success of the movie, many people said each member needed their own special. During the BET upfronts, this year, Bobby Brown was present and a biopic was announced.
BET is not straying away from their successful formula, they have the upcoming biopic, “The Bobby Brown Story,” coming soon. They are keeping the continuity, of the previous film. Woody McClain will be returning, reprising his role as Bobby Brown, just as he did on “Tales,” appearing in two episodes.
