What is wonderful about life is that love exists, in a world that can be filled with hate. But, it isn’t always hatred that causes abandonment, sometimes it is a person not up for the challenge. A woman named Jerri Hrubes (photoed right), became the mother to a young man (left).
Jerri Hrubes is the mother of DJ and they were recently visiting DJ’s grandmother, in Salt Lake City. At ten years old, DJ was doing what any child would do, playing in the yard. Unlike most kids, DJ found himself threatened by those who vowed to protect.
Currently, Jerri Hrubes is calling for an investigation, due to the police pulling a gun on DJ, in his own grandmother’s yard. The police accused him of fitting the description of an armed suspect. Witnessing the whole thing, Hrubes said they told her son to not talk, as they held him at gunpoint, before realizing he was not the suspect.
The cop would return to apologize, but saying it was a misunderstanding isn’t enough. Jerri Hrubes is calling for an independent investigation, meanwhile Black Lives Matter is calling for the firing of the police officer. BLM is also threatening protests.
