Wiz Khalifa sues Benjy Grinberg and Rostrum Records for $1 million

In 2010, Wiz Khalifa took his mixtape fame to the mainstream and took over the charts with “Black & Yellow.” It was fitting for the Steelers to win the Super Bowl that same year. His success put Rostrum Records, the local Pittsburgh label, on the map.

The following year, Mac Miller experienced breakout success on the label. He pulled off a surprising move, when he opted to not join a major label to release his music. Together, he and Wiz Khalifa helped to make Rostrum a household name.

Now, Wiz Khalifa may have come to regret the work he put in while under Rostrum. Not only has Wiz Khalifa left the label, he is suing them and Benjy Grinberg, his former manager and label CEO for $1 million. He claims they attempted to profit at his expense.
