During the summer of 2016, Wiz Khalifa endured some tough changes that forever changed his career. When Wiz Khalifa was still on the comeup, he was an integral part of Rostrum Records. They helped him get his music out and, in turn, he made the label a household name.

However, Wiz Khalifa always had his Taylor Gang imprint and when he signed with Atlantic Records, he wanted to solidify his company. In the summer of 2016, Wiz made moves to do this. Because of this, he ended up involved in a lawsuit with Rostrum Records, which lasted all year.

Wiz Khalifa would go onto close a major deal with Atlantic Records that includes his Taylor Gang imprint. Now, Wiz Khalifa is hard at work to complete Rolling Papers 2, the sequel to his 2011 breakthrough album. This afternoon, news also broke of Wiz reaching a settlement with Rostrum Records, good news for both sides.

Read the statement below:

“Wiz Khalifa and Rostrum Records Founder Benjy Grinberg announced today that all disputes between the two parties have been resolved following a joint settlement agreement. This agreement includes the dismissal of lawsuits that each party had previously filed against each other earlier this year. Both parties are pleased with the outcome and look forward to putting this matter behind them.”
