A month ago in Long Island, NY, Nicki Minaj’s father, 64-year-old Robert Maraj, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident. The suspect ended up being revealed as Charles Polevich as he turned himself in. Now, a huge lawsuit is heading his way by the wild of Maraj.

According to TMZ, this is for $150 million as Maraj’s wife is represented by Ben Crump. The attorney claims that Polevich drove “recklessly” and was “inattentive” when he struck Maraj.

“Paul Napoli and I have filed a $150 million lawsuit in the hit-and-run death of Robert Maraj, @NICKIMINAJ’s father,” said Crump on Twitter. Charles Polevich was not only irresponsible & negligent in hitting Maraj, but was more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help.”

Polevich ended up being charged with two felonies in leaving the scene of an accident that led to death and tampering with or suppressing physical evidence. His attorney, Mark Craig, believes that this $150 million lawsuit is a “bit over the top” and says an occurrence of negligence will soon be decided in court.

“My client empathizes with the family. The question of whether there was negligence and degrees of negligence will be determined by the court. The $150 million amount seems to be over the top.”
