Tonight’s episode of “Star” was likely the best episode of the show’s brief run. The episode centered on Otis’ (Darius McCrary) return from the dead. During the series premiere, Star (Jude DeMorest) “killed” Otis for raping Simone (Brittany O’Grady).
After getting Simone away from Otis, Star drove to meet Alex (Ryan Destiny) to form their group. From there, they found Carlotta (Queen Latifah) and it’s been a bumpy road. But, with Otis back in the picture, everyone stopped bickering long enough to embrace each other.
The end of the episode saw Otis cornered off and several members of the cast looking guilty. Cotton (Amiyah Scott), Jahlil (Benjamin Bratt), and Simone all looked guilty and everyone believed Simone was the killer. At the end of the episode, Simone revealed she didn’t kill Otis, opening a new mystery for the fans.
