White man enters Popeyes and threatens to lynch Black employees
In Florida, there seems to always be something wild going on. Back in 2018, FX’s series “Atlanta” characterized the situation as “Florida Man.” Ironically, a week before the series is set to return, a real life Florida man is acting up in Popeyes.
Every year, Popeyes is trending on Twitter for something. It’s unfortunate that it’s not a new Megan Thee Stallion meal, this time. Instead, a Florida man came in to harass the black employees. While he may not have come in to harass the black people, that’s what the situation became.
The man came into Popeyes and got into it with the black employees. A white man, he accused the employees of calling him a racial slur. In response, the man came with the slur that is too often used to describe black people. Hearkening back to the bad old days of the South, the man threatened to kill the Popeyes employees. Even after telling them to call the cops, he looked directly into the phone’s camera to tell the people he would hang them from a tree. As the man was leaving, he said he was better because he is white.
