Warren G calls out Russell Simmons and Def Jam, demanding to get his masters back, via Instagram [PHOTO]

Although Warren G is a part of the West Coast and was present for the birth of Death Row, he did his own thing. Despite Dr. Dre being his stepbrother, Warren G signed with Def Jam. In 1994, Warren G released “Regulate,” his classic single, featuring Nate Dogg.

Warren G, mostly, failed to recreate the success of “Regulate,” with his follow up singles. But, he has remained a huge figure in the game. Few people would not regard Warren G as a legend, as he has still managed to provide a lot to the game.

However, for all of his accomplishments, Warren G is one of many artists who don’t own the masters to his biggest hits. Looking to remedy that, Warren G asked for help. He took to Instagram, where he called out Russell Simmons, Lyor Cohen, and Def Jam, asking for his masters to “Regulate.”
