Last spring, Rick Ross held a press conference and laid the outline for Maybach Music over the next year and a half. Rick Ross’ plans for Maybach Music were a bit different from what Wale announced when he first joined the label. Recently, however, Wale has been back and more active than ever.
With his first two albums, Wale released his projects late in the year. But, Wale plans to release The Gifted in the summer of 2013. Wale has returned to his position at the top of the game and he is in the center of quite a bit of controversy. Much of it comes from the fight at the mall and his run-in with the Toronto Raptors commentators.
Continuing his New York City media rounds, Wale talked to Angie Martinez for her show on Hot 97. Taking a sharp turn from his interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Wale talked about the Grammys, but also mentioned the Toronto Raptors. During the interview, Wale also talked about disagreements with Rick Ross and MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game.”
