Wale says he’s dropping out of upcoming Broccoli City Festival lineup, in Washington D.C., over “respect” issue

Wale drops out of 2022 Broccoli City Festival

Wale has currently been on his “Under A Blue Moon Tour.” These concerts last all the way until March 11, where it’ll conclude in Silver Spring, MD, which is close to Wale’s hometown of Washington, D.C.

Wale has also been scheduled to perform at the Broccoli City Festival, in D.C., in May. These concerts will be held from May 7-8. Among the headliners scheduled to perform are 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, Jeezy, Summer Walker, WizKid, and more.

Wale is also on the lineup, but is now saying that he’s going to drop out of it. He explained that this is a “respect” issue, as he said on Twitter “I’m pullin’ out of the show.” He added that the situation with this festival is a “nightmare.”

“I’m not mad at all . I wish people would ask 😂 I’m sure the festival will be amazing all the artist are fire. I don’t think I’ll be missed and I never cared about headlining . This ain’t that. If u gon judge me at least know what’s on my mind my guy. I don’t know how many times I have to say this has nothing to do with headlining . It’s like a nightmare.”

It’ll definitely be interesting to see if Wale does end up changing his mind. This also comes after the success of his “Folarin” album, in October. This was headlined by hits such as “Poke It Out,” ft. J. Cole, and “Angles” ft. Chris Brown.
