It is tough to fit Wale into one category, but he did capitalize on his fandom of Jerry Seinfeld with his last album. Early in his career, Wale was misused, but Rick Ross saw the potential. Working under the tutelage of Ross and Jay Z, Ricky compared him to Kanye West.
Wale ended up gaining the respect of those legends and more, including the likes of Common and Nas. His most-recent hit single was released in early 2015, “The Matrimony (Making Plans),” featuring Usher. It was on this song where he spoke on the miscarriage of his child.
Along with losing his child, Wale lost the woman in his life. In recent months, however, Wale was revealed to have a new lover and they have even bigger news. Keeping it out of the media, as Wale works on his new album, he took to Instagram, where he revealed the birth of his daughter, Zyla Folarin, in a very special Instagram message.
