When Wale talks, many write him off as an unhappy complainer. These people have it all wrong where Wale is concerned. Instead, Wale is someone who has high expectations of himself and he feels as though he hasn’t lived up to it.
The last real hit Wale had was “Clappers,” his strip club anthem featuring Nicki Minaj and Juicy J. However, Wale did have a big record in 2015 with “The Matrimony,” featuring Usher. Still, Wale isn’t having the success of Nicki, Drake, and his other peers in the game.
Wale is preparing to change all of this with SHiNE, which is his fifth studio album. The album is due on May 5 and Wale is definitely making sure this album is the one people remember. But, Wale found time to sneak in a little joke, himself, posting a photo on his Instagram with Lindsay Lohan and quoting the opening lyrics for “Girls on Drugs,” one of his older singles.
