What is this world coming to? One of the greatest parts of hip hop in the era of the 1990s was watching The Fugees. Consisting of Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras, the Fugees epitomized creativity in hip hop. Among their staple hits was “Killing Me Softly” and the music video was a hip hop classic.

A lot of people enjoyed the “Killing Me Softly” music video and a lot of credit was given to the video director, Aswad Ayinde. With a classic music video with The Fugees, a lot came to the direction of the director, making him a legend. Aswad Ayinde ultimately won an MTV award for his efforts.

Recently, Aswad Ayinde was sentenced to 90 years in prison for raping his daughters over a twenty-two year period. His wife, Beverly, said the rapes were inspired by his desire to create a pure bloodline for his family. She admitted she was afraid to let anyone know what was going on.
