We’ve received some amazing Verzuz battles since April as the most recent one was Monica vs Brandy in August. The R&B rivals put on a show and was definitely a fan-favorite. Now, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have cooked up another battle between two more icons.
Verzuz took to their social media feeds to reveal that on September 13, fans will be seeing Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight go hit for hit. This is a treat especially for the older generation of music fans considering that the two have been iconic since the 70s. LaBelle is known for hits such as “On My Own” and “Only If You Knew” and Knight has classics such as “I Don’t Want To Know” and “Midnight Train To Georgia.”
This Verzuz will kick off at 8pm ET and streamed on Instagram and Apple Music as usual. Fans are already getting ready to think about what will be on the dinner menu and how to celebrate this epic matchup. It will definitely be a Sunday for the ages on Sunday.
