Verzuz has given us some epic battles since April between some of the greatest artists of all-time.The most recent one came this month between 2 Chainz and Rick Ross as that came with some very entertaining moments such as Chainz bringing strippers in for “Bandz A Make Her Dance” and Ross getting a massage.
Now, Verzuz has set up their next battle and this one has been in high demand for months. This will be between R&B legends, Monica and Brandy. It will go down on August 31 at 8pm ET. As usual, it will be streamed on Verzuz’ Instagram feed along with on Apple Music. This will be taking place in-person at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta as well.
Brandy has been trending lately as her classic 90s sitcom, ‘Moesha‘ was recently launched on Netflix. She has released classic albums such as her self-titled debut studio album in 1994 and her sophomore album, ‘Never Say Never,’ in 1998. Some of Monica’s best work includes her debut album, ‘Miss Thang‘ in 1995 and her sophomore album, ‘The Boy Is Mine’ in 1998. The two also collaborated on their iconic “The Boy Is Mine” track back in 1998. Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have definitely set up another epic matchup as the anticipation is now on for the 31st.
