A few weeks ago, Vado spoke on his label issues. Back in 2010, Vado signed with Interscope Records. At the time, it was believed that the entire Diplomat Records signed a joint venture deal with Interscope. But, it was later revealed that Irv Gotti brokered a deal that placed Vado on the label.
Recently, Vado revealed the situation was not right for him, as he is a New York City native signed to a Los Angeles-based label. Vado said he should have paid more attention to East Coast labels. Regardless, the deal fizzled and many feel Vado’s time has come and gone.
Next week, Vado will release his Slime Flu 3 mixtape, but he made an even bigger announcement. On Twitter, Vado announced he would be “taking his talents to South Beach” and hash-tagged “WTB.” DJ Khaled is one of the biggest figures in Miami and he runs We the Best Music Group. It looks like Vado is relocating from New York City to Miami and will be a part of YMCMB.
