Most people know Tyrese best for his movie roles, but he rose to fame as an R&B singer. During the era of Sisqo, Montell Jordan, and the early days of Usher, Tyrese was starting. But, many casual music fans will know Tyrese for “How U Gonna Act Like That,” but Tyrese has hits.
Hardcore fans know Tyrese for “Sweet Lady,” “Like Dem Girls,” and many other hits. Those early Tyrese albums raised his visibility enough for John Singleton to cast him. He chose him for Baby Boy and Tyrese wasn’t even considering acting.
Tyrese now returns to “Sway In The Morning” talking to Sway about his new film, The Fate of the Furious. During the interview, Tyrese went through the early moments of his career, his relationship with John Singleton and how he brought him into the Furious film franchise. He also spoke on Vin Diesel and The Rock, the state of R&B, and his next album.
