During a time when R&B was thoroughly dominated by R. Kelly and Usher, Tyrese broke through and found success. When he truly broke through, Tyrese was proposed a career-changing offer. With no prior acting experience, he was cast for Baby Boy.

While Tyrese continued making music and scored a classic hit, he found himself bit by the acting bug. This led to the 2 Fast 2 Furious casting that forever changed his career. Now, Tyrese is a popular actor and television personality.

Tyrese delivered his final album and The Black Book short film, starring both he and V. Bozeman of “Empire” fame. Making his media rounds, Tyrese sat down with Larry King for “Larry King Now” to discuss matters. In the interview, he spoke on both the state of R&B and The Black Book movie.
