Tyra Banks has been announced the new host and Executive Producer of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” days after the host of 15 years Tom Bergeron was dropped from the show

“America’s Next Top Model” creator and former supermodel, Tyra Banks, has been named the new host and executive producer of ABC’s popular dance competition show, “Dancing with the Stars.” The announcement was made Tuesday night as the show’s Twitter account displays a beautiful photo of the supermodel as they welcome her onboard. The series is said to be getting a “creative refresh” as Tyra shares in a recent news release from Entertainment Tonight:

“I’ve been a fan of ‘DWTS’ since its beginning … The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zone, the sizzling dance performances… it’s always transported me to my days of turning it up ten notches on the catwalk.”

“Tom has set a powerful stage, and I’m excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats.”

Twitter sends tons of love in approval as many share sentiments that Banks will be a fantastic addition to the show. The iconic show is flexing a new creative wave that is surely fitting during this time. Banks was previously a co-host of “America’s Got Talent” during the show’s 12th season as well and we can now anticipate her premiere in the fall every Monday at 8pm time slot.
