Never underestimate Tyra Banks, she has true lasting power. When there was drama between her and Naomi Campbell, Tyra came out on top. Not only did she come out on top, she got into television, first offering “America’s Next Top Model” and then a talk show.
Tyra Banks became a leader in the overall media world and, briefly, looked like she would replace Oprah as the talk show queen. That wasn’t in the cards, but “America’s Next Top Model” has lived on. The show began on UPN and then moved to The CW, before arriving on VH1.
Along with the VH1 move comes a major personnel change, as Tyra is no longer hosting the show. Replacing her is Rita Ora, one year removed from her high-profile split from Jay Z’s Roc Nation. Having Rita hosting the show has fans like “WTF?”
