Following his performance at the Roxy concert venue, in Hollywood, California, Tyler, the Creator, the frontman of Odd Future, was arrested. The West Coast rapper was reportedly shouting at the sound engineer at the club. Tyler, the Creator was arrested around 11:30 pm for vandalism, destroying the electric soundboard at the club.
Upon being arrested, Tyler, the Creator was escorted to a radio car. The crowd grew angry and began to rush the police officers. Tyler, the Creator was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and he was booked at a nearby police station. Law enforcement shut down Sunset Blvd. for thirty minutes, as the angry crowd dispersed.
This year, Tyler, the Creator has emerged as one of the most controversial rappers in the game. Known for his eccentric lyrics, Tyler, the Creator plans to release his third album in 2012. He is fresh off the ‘Best New Artist’ award he won at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Recently, the music video for his collaboration alongside Game and Lil Wayne, “Martians vs. Goblins,” was released to the public.
