Since officially joining Young Money, Tyga has enjoyed much success. This comes in spite of the four year gap in album releases. His Young Money debut, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, has become a commercial success for the Los Angeles rapper. Preceeding the release date of the album was the “Rack City” single and the popular remix.

Within itself, Tyga’s success has been impressive, for his label, Young Money, the success exceeds expectations of Lil Wayne’s outfit. However, for Cash Money Records, Tyga’s success proves just how far a family-run label can go. Despite being a “boutique” label by definition, Cash Money houses many other labels and a large number of artists.

Tyga recently spoke with Tim Westwood and he discussed both “Rack City” and his legendary record label. Two years ago, Tyga experienced success alongside Chris Brown on his comeback single, “Deuces.” Since then, the two have worked together closely and are preparing their Fan of a Fan 2 project, which Tyga thinks could lead to a bigger project.
