Tyga performed at Harvard despite protests

Tyga 8Hip hop is full of controversy, especially where Cash Money Records and Maybach Music are concerned. Lil Wayne got in trouble with the media when he rapped a verse on Future’s “Karate Chop” where Emmett Till was disrespected. Rick Ross, on the other hand, got in trouble over his verse on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.”

Reebok dropped Rick Ross in the face of the heat, but Tyga is also sponsored by the company and being protested. Those close to these rappers, namely Ace Hood and Meek Mill, have spoken out in defense of their friends. But, this did not stop the women of Harvard University from protesting Tyga’s performance.

Determined, Tyga performed last night at Harvard University in the face of the protest, only making him stronger. Fox News documented Tyga’s performance and the backlash continued. Tyga took to Twitter to announce his performance went well and he released a performance photo to Instagram.
