In 2002, Missy Elliott and Timbaland were on top of the world. They made hits of their own, but they also made stars. Only months removed from the loss of Aaliyah, the Virginia duo soon helped another R&B starlet, Tweet, gain fame.

During the summer of 2002, Tweet released “Oops (Oh My)” to much fanfare. Later in the summer, Tweet scored a big hit with “Call Me,” which Verizon later used in commercials. Soon, unfortunately, Tweet was out of the spotlight for years and later forgotten.

Tweet returned with new music, earlier this year, and delivered her new album, Charlene. With the new album out, Tweet made her media rounds and stopped by Hot 97 to talk about it. During the interview, she spoke on her comeback and becoming a grandmother since her last musical outing.
