Trey Songz has delivered “cuffin season” anthems on his #11 and #28 birthday projects and fans on Twitter re-crown Trey Songz as the king of R&B

A few years ago, people were writing Trey Songz off. Honestly, it made sense, because 2012 was the last time he was really on top of the game. Consistently, since 2011, Chris Brown has established himself as the top guy in R&B.

Aside from 2014, when “NaNa” dropped, Trey Songz has not made hit records. Early last year saw an album that came and went, despite VH1 promo, and a sextape leak. With that in mind, Trey Songz seemed like a thing of the past.

Trey Songz, last night, dropped two new albums, celebrating his birthday. These albums have some dope features, but mainly, some huge tracks. This was enough for fans on Twitter to give Trey Songz his props back, re-crowning Trigga as the king of R&B.
