Last year, T.I. went on a signing spree that ended up landing Trae Tha Truth on the roster of his Grand Hustle Records. The year of 2012 ended on a high note for the label, before T.I. announced the end of their time on Atlantic Records. Over the weekend, Grand Hustle Records signed with Columbia Records.
In the midst of this, the Grand Hustle camp has continued to do nothing but make good music, collectively and solo. Doe B and T.I. had a pretty packed show, which followed the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards. Trae Tha Truth, meanwhile, was working on his I Am King mixtape.
Sway Calloway invited Trae Tha Truth over to Shade 45 for “Sway In The Morning” and they discussed I Am King. The mixtape drops today and Trae discussed his relationship with J. Cole and a moment he shared with Pimp C’s mother. This was an interesting conversation between the two.
